Spell checking in Google Chrome browser!

Recently I seem to have a few problems with spell checking in the Google Chrome browser that I am using with Windows 7 Home Premium.

It would appear that the fault might lay with US/English and perhaps not UK/English. I have had a look within Chrome to see if I can reset any spelling option, but I seem to no facility to correct the spelling.

Any directions would be appreciated on how to overcome this spelling issue?.

In Settings>Advanced Settings > Languages is your US English or English?

Answer

Just given myself a few minutes, and made the necessary in advanced.

But must admit that I got a little concerned when I opened the setting page, and was met with 'English (United States) Google Chrome is displayed in this language". Then below that 'English - This language cannot be used for spell checking'

Dug deeper and found a drop-down list and added English (United Kingdom).

Now to see what happens?.

Thanks again bremner for the information given, will now green tick.
