All of a sudden I am getting interference through my desktop speakers.
I am using a remote keyboard and mouse but have been prior to the interference.
Nothing else has changed.

Any ideas ?

can you please tell us a bit more - what type of interference? - on all media sources? - all the time when no sounds are being played? - what does it sound like - hissing, crackles, radio pickup??

Thanks DieSse

I get interference all the time - if the machine is not busy it's still there and I have to turn the speaker volume right down so as not to hear it.

It's an up and down very low pitched buzz.

Is your 'puter situated against an adjoining wall to another property? If so have they installed/ moved microwave, fridge etc.?

Try some other speakers

Wiggle the plug in and out at the processor end

Make sure you haven't got the speaker volume in the system tray turned right down, and the speakers turned up to compensate - this is a receipe for noise.

Move the cables away from mains cables and other transformers, and the monitor, as much as possible.

Plug the power tranformer into another socket.

In Volume Control, under 'Line In', check 'Mute', see if it makes any difference
