Hi to all
A question,
How can I stop rubbish emails every day from driving me round the bend?
I get banks asking me to verify my details,do I want viagra,do I want my nether regions enlarging and so on.
I get on average around 7 or 8 sometimes more a day
I sit and BLOCK SENDER with all of them but they seem to carry on
I would be grateful for any advice that might help to stop this C--- coming through
Kindest Regards
Dakar

The only real way is to change your email address, and then inform only your friends and people that you want to contact. I have three addresses. One for friends and family only. One for Banks and trusted institutions, and one which I use as default when I need to give out email addresses. Tis can be changed at any time I choose. I get no spam, but I stick to the rules I have outlined above.

You can't unless you never use e-mail or change your e-mail address on a regular basis before it's picked up by spammers.

Alternatively use this click here

First, seven or so a day is pretty light, you're actually quite lucky.

I have a separate webmail address that I use for signing up for things and I try never to give out my private email address to anyone other than real people who I actually know. I think it stops the worst torrents of spam reaching that inbox.

If you want to carry on filtering them, then use the wildcard in the filter. A lot of the emails come from one particular ISP, if you plan on never receiving emails from that server then block the server rather than the individual address. Next time you block anything open the filter log and find the address for example [email protected] then just put a star in like [email protected] that will block any emails from anyisp.net.

I used to use that a lot prior to using SpamAssassin.

Castlecops website have just set up SIRT ( Spam Incident and Reporting Termination squad ) just email the source code to them, and they will see what they can do to help.

Have a look here scroll down to " Report Spam"

The biggest problem is the ISP involved - I get loads of such spam through Tiscali (even on a WorldOnline e-ail address), but never from Pipex or TalkTalk.
