*** SPAM *** in an Email Subject

Anyone noticed this on Freeserve/Wanadoo...

The subject of the email is altered if their filter "thinks" that the email is *** SPAM ***

Took me about a month to figure that out by the way.

Question: Can it be turned off?

Don't know if it can be turned off or not (try Wanadoo for that!!) but it is something that has been around for a while. Other ISPs did use [AD] to indicate something was an advert.

Personally I don't see it really having any value since the rest of the subject will normally be enough of an indication as to the usefulness of the message.

I want it turned of because I don't want to edit all me message rules......If I can avoid it.

Took ages to setup nicely.

go into your wannadoo account online choose options tick recieve Receive spam emails in my inbox. job done. Note you canot do this via your e-mail client, must be done online.

Funnily enough when I checked my spam mail there was one from wannodoo!!!!! marked as spam. Some filter :>))
