SP2 Uninstall advice

  Fyrebird1 22:12 04 Mar 2005

i have just been advised by an IT Dept to uninstall SP2 as it causes more problems than its worth. I was having problems accessing javascript pages despite all changes made to enable it. I wa told that it would be better to wait until they sort out the errors its creating, any opinons on this?

Get another IT department. SP2 security measures are required for safe browsing with IE6.

Load Firefox click here=

less problems / no popups / faster browsing.

Take no notice, they use SP2 as the excuse for everything that goes wrong, last week I couldn't connect to the internet via my wanadoo speedtouch modem, phoned the support line they said " if you've got SP2 that can cause the problem uninstall it" it had nothing to do with SP2 at all it had been working for months no problems. It turned out to be a problem with driver.
