SP2 and 'pirate' editions....

The 'Client Release' of SP2 for XP Pro seems fine - not a big deal, a few extras in Control Panel for wireless networking, that sort of thing; but I have encountered what may or not be a problem.... On my No.1 machine with a retail version, it downloaded and installed fine; on my No.2 machine, with a kosher MSDN Volume License edition, it wouldn't even start: similar piracy warning to pirate XPs trying to get SP1. Anyone know if this is only an issue with the current beta, or whether Microsoft have decided their MSDN version has been compromised and reclassified as 'pirated', which would in effect mean SP2 won't install on any pirate, whatever they are currently saying....? I know it's a bit early to second guess the issue, but anyone had similar problems, or can shed any light?
