SP2 Firewall

  arris 20:22 16 Feb 2006

Is it stealth?

  SG Atlantis® 20:24 16 Feb 2006

it's useless

  bevans 20:42 16 Feb 2006

And third-party firewalls expect everyone to be clairvoyant, as they don't explain what should, or shouldn’t be allowed very well.

WF is incoming only no protection against spyware trying to "ring" out.

ZoneAlarm is, IMHO, the best firewall available.
And it's free.

WXPSP2 Firewall is a joke.

  stalion 20:59 16 Feb 2006

must get these glasses fixed. discontinued

  bevans 21:02 16 Feb 2006

Zonealarm isn't as good as people make out, stick with sp2 firewall. It wont bother you, and outbound protection isn't needed.

  VoG II 21:06 16 Feb 2006

"outbound protection isn't needed"

So you're happy to have trojans, keyloggers etc. 'phoning home' ??

  bevans 21:16 16 Feb 2006

If it was so important microsoft would have supplied an outbound firewall.

  stalion 21:19 16 Feb 2006

sorry microsoft would not, no more than they provide virus or malaware protection. It's up to the owner to adequately protect their pc or laptop
