soundcard advice

i have this motherboard:

and this soundcard (in old computer - im pretty sure its that one, unless there are many audigy's):

which is better sound? im sure the soundcard was very cheap (less than on Scan).

I'm not really sure what your question is - but it could be a tough one to answer. In theory, the Creative Audigy (yes, there were several iterations and quality levels of the Audigy, I think) would give you better sound than an on-board chip. However, just as with graphics, on-chip sound has come a long way since Creative first came to market. Personally, I love Creative's stuff, but it's hard to say definitely that the Audigy is or isn't better than on-board sound.
