Sound Card Drivers

  ßoolian 16:32 31 May 2008

Recently a friend of mine rebuilt her PC. All the drivers installed but the Sound Card Driver did not work. The card is a C-Media AC97 Audio Device. In Control Panel it says there is no Audio Device. Is there anything in the management console that I can do to change it so it is the Audio Device. Or to see which version of the driver I actually need. Any help would be much appreciated. Ta

Have you checked the BIOS and ensured that Sound is enabled.

This is a commom problem on rebuild and reformats well documented in the postings
