Sony Vegas 6 Issue

This is probably a very easy problem to solve so I apologise in advance for my incompetence.
I was playing around with the pan/crop/zoom tool in Vegas 6, I clicked something and it disappeared.
Now whenever I click on the pan/crop tool on a video something flashes up very quickly and then disappears. The top of the Vegas window is greyed out suggesting the the toolbox is the active window but there's no sign of it.

How can I find pan/crop?

Are you right-clicking on the scene in the timeline?

I tried that as well and got the same result.

I think you've hidden it, which you can just drag out to view it. In the centre, between view screen on right and the main screen on left at the top you may see 2 tiny x's. Just put your curser over the lines below the left x and drag to the left.

Sorry, I still can't see it.

Reinstall and it'll be quicker than explaining.
