The above laptop does not detect my BT modem/router signal. I used the manual option (VISTA home edition) to setup the wireless connection but it does not work either. My PC and other laptop detected the wireless signal and connected to the network without any problem. Does anyone know how to overcome this. Thanks.

Hi,
I've just bought the same laptop and I have the exact problem. I've tried searching manually, and naturally, checked if the switch was on.
If anyone had any help on the issue it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

To connect to a wireless network

Turn on the Wireless Lan Switch.
The Wireless Lan indicator lights up.

On models that support the IEEE 802.11a/b/g standard*,

Double-click the taskbar icon to display the Wireless Device Switch window.

Select your desired wireless option and click OK.

Click Start and Control Panel.

Under Network and Internet

Click View network status and tasks.

Click Manage wireless networks.

lick Add.

Follow the on-screen instructions

Thanks very much for the quick response.
However, I've tried that and I'm getting the same error every time: 'Windows Cannot Find Any Networks'
Do you think this is now a hardware problem?
Thanks again.

I sent the laptop back to eBuyer. Was told they had replaced the wireless adaptor and able to detect their wireless network. The laptop failed to detect my BT wireless network 1250. Replaced the 1250 wireless network with BT Home Hub. It works.

Don't know why Vista can't detect the 1250 wireless network but Windows XP can detect it.
