Sony Vaio Laptop - Freezing

  dcarlioni 13:43 25 Oct 2010

Hello all, i am new to this forum. over the weekend i carried out a system recovery on my laptop. during this i put an extra 10gig from my D drive to my C drive. everything was running just fine, yesterday i installed winamp, firefox and avast. I went to uninstall nortan but the system just froze. i couldnt do anything, and i mean anything. i thought i might have been a glitch but no, i turned the laptop off (forced it off) then turned it back on but same problem and now i can even access the start option. What can i do to resolve this matter???

thanks for the advice.

Use the Norton uninstall tool if you are not using it.

Try starting in safe mode by tapping F8 or F5 as the computer starts and try last good configuration or system restore if it lets you in.
