I have just rebooted a sony vaio with win 2k pro and the graphics is rubbish on it. When i looked it has put in Standard VGA drivers. So i went looking for better drivers but i cant seem to find them. Can anyone help with this??.

The Vaio model is PCG-F701.

Can you still access Vaio-Link click here? You'd need your product code and serial number but they'll be on the PC chassis. And if so, are there any graphics drivers for Win2k on there for the PCG-F701? Alternatively, the Win XP drivers *might* work ...

If not, try this thread on WinDrivers click here

According to the Vaio-Link website secification, your PCG-F701 has a Neomagic MagicMedia 256AV+ video chipset.

If this is correct, there are a couple of Win2k driver for this chipset on the DriverGuide website click here that might work.

You have to register with DriverGuide (free) to access the files, but if you want to PM me I could e-mail you the most likely one - its only a 261kb Zip file.
