I just downloaded the Trial Version of Acronis Disk Director. (partition manager)I wanted to see if I could make a partitioned HDD into one.I went through all the processes to where it said something like:"To complete the process press Finish".Then it said, again words to the effect:"Pressing Finish will not actually complete this process, you have to Commit it".I found Commit and clicked it.Up came: To complete this action you will need to buy the program.Shouldn't a Trial be something to be tried out to see if it is what you want before buying it?
Just been into PCA Download pages and the same Program is there. It definitly says "Download Free Trial"click here|1077196337&gclid=CK33r6OX1Y8CFSiWEgodjAyv_g
You would think so wouldn't you, but some anti-malware free trials also won't remove stuff they find unless you buy them.
If you don't press Commit
oops, Iwanted to know would the programme remain loaded if you didn't press Commit. I feel that pressing Commit may be leading you to the 'buy'section. Is it possible?
bluto1, just tried it again. If you want to use it you have to pay.The Trial version just shows you what you can do.It doesn't actually let you do it.So not really a trial.
I think the DVD/CD editor will pick up on it on Monday and explain.
I tried to get the free version about 6 months ago all I got from it was a load spam mail advertising Viagro and some sort of enlargement things and generally just a load of crap.I would stay clear of it if I were you.
Just a quick query. Which disc is it from?
Its not from a disk he says he downloaded it.I have to agree with you pj123 if it doesn't actually work at all its not a trial. I suppose I'd call it a demo at best.
"I wanted to see if I could make a partitioned HDD into one."I've recently used this (old) free software to do just this - and it worked fine.click here
