Software - Streaming Audio Recorders

There are a slew of software programs out there that claim to be able to capture streaming audio, or any sound coming from sound card and save to a file on your computer (mp3, wma, wav etc) I've tried several of these programs and none seem to be able to make a quality recording of any music being streamed. The quality of the music coming from my sound card to my computer speakers as well as stereo speakers is excellent so I'm not sure why these programs don't work well. Any suggestions? Thanks

click here for TotalRecorder which I used to use to record radio programmes before the programmes were put into RealAudio format files which could be downloaded.

You're welcome; as I said, it worked well for me.
