Software problem-or have I been hacked?

  Mechtal01 21:25 17 Apr 2003

I have XP and NAV and Norton Firewall; broadband connection.
A couple of weeks ago the following happened: I can't access and "secure sites"-eg for buying on line or on line banking; I also noticed that Norton Firewall was not switched on. When I tried to switch it using the "security assisstant" on it told me that only a Supervisor can use the security assistant. in other ways the computer seems to be working OK. Any ideas please anybody?

I had this exact thing sometime ago...I found I was riddled with spyware and viruses. Go to Adaware and AVG get the latest patches too. This is assuming you don't have the uptodate!
