Can anyone recommend a program for editing .wav or .mp3 files? I have some files of live music, some of which involved multiple takes. I would like to remove unwanted sections and then splice the "good bits" together to make a continuous performance for later burning to a CD. I don't want to add extra sound effects, backing etc, just to cut and splice separate .wav or .mp3 files together. I am quite prepared to purchase a commercial program if it does the job well, but a "try before you buy" option would be ideal. Any suggestions?
