SMS via Outlook 2003

Does anyone know of a way to send SMS via Microsoft Outlook. I now work for a small engineering company with about 25 staff working around the country and regularly have to arrange overnight accomodation. This means going online and finding and reserving the accomodation. I then have to ring the guys on site who are busily grafting away and wait for them to return to their van, find a pen and paper to write down the details. As it is only a small company I need to 'prove' that SMS is less disruptive before I can 'sell' the idea to the owner.
Any ideas of how to get this off the ground

This seems to work by sending text messages through a connected mobile: click here

I have no idea how good it is.

There are web sites that let you create sms messages. Have a look at your mobile phone providers site.
