SmartBridge Alerts

My Computer Athlon64 X2 4200 with 4Gb of memory and 400Gb of hard drives uses BTOpenworld for broadband access. I also use Smart Bridge in the Adobe Studio.
On booting up, it annoyingly displays the following every time:
Heading - SmartBridge Alert: BT Help Notifier.exe - Entry point Not found,
and inside the applet is:
The procedure entry point Get Process Image File Name W could not be located in the dynamic Link Library PSAPI.DLL

I have seen a long time ago in a magazine "I think PCA" instructions on how to fix this but have not been able to find it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Can I suggest that you type in the forum search box "smart bridge alerts" and you will find ways of sorting this from previous postings

This relates to the BT desktop helper. The simplest way to deal with it is to uninstall it if you do not use it or take it out of your start up list. The program name will be something like Motive Communications or Motive SB.

1. Navigate to the installation location for SmartBridge via My Computer (\Program Files\Alert BT Help Notifier.exe
2. Find PSAPI.DLL and rename it to something like PSAPIOLD.DLL
3. Reboot the system

The program will find the new PSAPI.DLL in the \Windows\System32 directory and function normally.

Or, if you have Spybot Search and Destroy use its start up control tool.
