Small Office Network

Help please for the conversion of a dial up PAYG connection to a proper broadband system for a small charity organisation with minimal IT support.
We plan to replace the incoming BT phone point with an adapted NT5 face plate. (This will avoid having microfilters everywhere) From that we would run about 8 voice only telephone sockets and one ADSL only connection to a dedicated ADSL socket.
A router would connect into that socket and 4 computers on individual cables into the 4 sockets on the router. Two of these would be about 40m away from the router. I think that this would suffice.
(A trial using a wireless modem/router did not transmit due to the ancient structure and distance in the building and would need IT skills which we do not have)

Any comments or further advice on the above?
Thanks in anticipation

Looks like you have your network pretty well figured out already. If you happen to choose a router that has wifi included, don't forget to switch the service off or at least secure it. Either that or buy a wires-only router.

If you do have difficulties contact your local Voluntary Development Agency, they may be able to give you further assistance?
