sm bus controller yellow mark?

looking round my device manager i came across the above but pc seems to be working ok what is it? and am i doing any harm without it?

i take your point, just that device manager indicates a prob with it and i dont know what it is.

my thanks for that marsh warden, unless i am wrong (quite likely) it deals with intel chipsets which i do not have, mine is an amd or have i got it wrong?

AMD refers to your CPU, the drivers you require are for your mobo, which may well be the Intel Chipset. I would check your mobo manufacturers site for info, and possibly a driver download, also the mobo drivers CD if you have one.

motherboard is a K7S5A (ecs?) but i dont understand how i lost this, it occurred after my cmos prob in a differrent post. but pc works ok seemingly

weel i just checked device manager and it is not reporting any issues!! very strange, my thanks to all for help.
