Slow start up.

My PC has become rather slow during starting, how do I find which programmes start automatically when I turn my PC on, and how do I remove them from the start menu, as I believe that this is a cause of slow starts?

Start; Run and type msconfig.

Look under the Startup tab to find running programs.

Untick those you don't want/need and click Apply.

I've done that, but it still takes one and a half minutes before it is ready to go, is that about the Norm? I'm sure it used to fire up quicker than that when it was new (three months ago).
