Slow PC using firefox

  March Wind 01:24 27 Feb 2011

Since I started to use FireFox my PC is working very slow. Sometimes I think it says time out retry. I have done disk clean up run all my programs that I think might help it move faster but still slow. I have Windows 7

Personally, having tried FF I would get rid of it and use W7, it is by far the best operating system to date.

I have had a similar experience with Firefox. I removed it and am using Google Chrome instead. It is very fast and I am well pleased- give it a try!

disable your add-ons in firefox and see if it runs any quicker.
if so enable them again one at a time till you find the one causing the problems.
Firefox4 is due out shortly so maybe best waiting to see if that makes any difference.

Looks like the new version will be out early next month.

Andsome - I think you might be confusing March Wind? Firefox is an Internet Browser not an Operating System.

Firefox 4 - I am currently trying it out (BETA version) on Virtual PC. It does appear to run faster and as Buteman says the full version should be out next month.

I think I will delete F/Fox completely. because I keep losing my home page. Not sure about addons. If I delete it will every thing go. Silly question but I would like to know if anything will be left behind. I sometimes use Revo but that doesn't always look the same when I use it, so I hope I am using it correctly

I have deleted F/F using Revo. I have been told to (select all). At one point this list is at an angle, then I click on Next. But it asks me, am I sure I want to skip delete? I say yes because this is what I thought I was told to do. Then I see another list. This also asks me do I want to skip delete. This list is not at an angle. I say skip then it says finished. But I went over it again because why should want to skip delete? F/F looks as if it has gone from Revo. Have I done it correctly. I should hate to delete the wrong thing or leave bits behind. Could you advise please?

Try New flock, it the fastest I have come across English/British version scroll down click here

Is this faster than IE? I thought I would use F/F as I do not want my PC to remember everything I look at. I myself do not have a very good memory or digest things easily. I need something simple to understand, or else I will be on this forum for evermore.
