Just recently my PC has started doing slow.

Its fine when its first booted up. Then after a while it takes age to react. Then it freezes and I have to reboot.

Its a 2 year old dell with XP Pro

Hi, it may need de-fragmenting, checking for spy-ware and a virus check. Those are the usual causes your problem.

You may need to clear out the Registry, I am not one for interfering with the Registry but when I do I use PC Rescue recommended by Healthy Computer Club. I find it makes my PC run a lot better after running the program, I personally have had no problems using PC Rescue but it's your choice at the end of the day.

Its mainly caused by a CPU fan that fails to work properly.

You might have a point about the fan.
Iv'e come across that problem before.

I'll check it later and get back to you
