Slot 1 verses socket 370

I am working on a friends PC they have a slot 1 with pent 111 cpu can the cpu be put into a socket 370 mb as the old mb is no good?

No, but you used to be able to buy a Socket 370 adapter to take a Slot 1 CPU (I think that's the right way round!) Might still be some around.

I have an Elite P6BXT-A+ that was the first mobo in the world to house Slot 1 and Socket 370 sockets and was widely copied afterwards, but you can't use two processors at once with the board.

Thank you for info, I ask the question because the cpu socket on the slot 1 card is labeled pga370 is this diff to the socket on the socket 370 mb?

Is the CPU fastened into a "Slocket" which is then pushed into the slot on the card?

If which case it will go into a socket 370 board.

I'm not sure if there is a converter available to plug a Slot 1 P3 into a socket 370 Mobo though.
