Slide copying

  jkr 15:29 03 Jan 2007

I have purchased a Visioneer 9020 scanner so that I can copy slides and negatives as well as the usual things.
I find that even at very high resolutions the results from the slides (have not tried negatives yet) are not as clear as I would have liked - slightly fuzzy would probably be the description.
Any solutions?

it is possibly the focal length. If the scanner is calibrated from the glass and your slides are mounted or vice versa this could be your problem. You could visit the visioneer site and look at their slide faqs.

Have you tried taking the slides out of the cases?

I had trouble getting good results from my scanner so i projected the photos onto a screen and photographed them with my digital camera, they came out better than the scans, any i wasnt satisfied with i tweeked with my photo suite.
