Im trying to get my pc to re-enter sleep mode after being accessed from a remote computer on an ethernet lan. After it is woken up it just returns to the "This computer is in use and has been locked" screen and doesnt re enter standby state even when the remote user is finished accessing it! Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance

Which operating system are you running, how is the remote access being performed (Remote Desktop Sharing or whatever) and do you have simple file sharing enabled ?

See Control Panel >> Folder Options >> View >> scroll to bottom of list for "Use simople file sharing (Recommended)"

Note this is only on XP Pro with NTFS drives.

Reply with more info please.
