skype video

I have recently found on Skype that when I am in touch with a correspondent the video takes ages to come up, but we can talk while we wait. But within seconds of the picture coming up, the sound goes off and the connection drops !Maybe I dont have enough memory? Any tips please?

Check the video setting in Skype and make sure the

“Enable Skype Video” and “Start My Video Automatic when I am in a call is tick”

Thanks, ambra4, but I have done those things. Skype used to be OK a while ago, but recently my main correspondent has installed a new camera and my grandchildren have loaded some big games onto my computer. How much memory do I need to have available to get smooth video performance from Skype?

Min I would have would be 1GB seeing your grandchildren would be playing games
