Sites won't recognise internet exploer 6

  suedeblue 18:30 03 Jul 2006

I'm currently experiencing a problem with internet explorer. A number of sites are not allowing me access as i am getting a message stating that i am not using IE 6 or above when I have been using 6 with the service pack since last year.
Does anyone know why this might be.
Many thanks.

If the above does not work for you, maybe consider running some antimalware/spyware programs.

Using the top 5 of this link will help determine if you have any spyware/malware. click here
Make sure they are all updated fairly often.

Hope this helps

Still won't let certain sites reconise IE even though I have now installed IE 7.
One site states that i have modilla installed.

Do you have Mozilla Firefox installed and is it set as your default browser?

Can post some of the sites you cannot access.

Have you ran any of the Antimalware/spyware programs.

Also, your firewall may be blocking some sites or a problem with activex or flashplayer settings.
Try this download to see if you can access the sites in question. click here

Thanks for the info.
I don't have modzilla installed and one of the sites is expedia, which i have booked many holidays online through.
I am using Bullgurad antivirus and firewall.
