single click bar below touchpad

Does anybody know how to operate the single click bar below the touchpad on the Acer Aspire 5536.
The left hand functions seem to work as normal but what do you do to get the same result as right clicking on the mouse.

Press the right hand side of the bar perhaps?

that's logical but it doesn't happen for some reason

The Acer Aspire 5536 has left, right and centre buttons which mimic the actions of a mouse - see here (No 8)

I've just noticed this taken from your link

<< The single dual-click mouse button is less practical, however. You have to click in specific areas for it to register, which provides awkward usability. >>

It also uses gesture controls - such as pinching your fingers together to zoom in/out etc. It seems to be getting too "clever" for its own good. Personally I have never liked using touchpads, and always attach a mouse to my laptops.

Don't forget the context menu button, too the right of the keyboard spacebar.
