I have Vista loaded onto my laptop and when I am logged into a site then leave it open to return to later, my PC shuts down to desktop and takes ages to boot up again. As a beginner I have no idea how to rectify this irritating problem, can't seem to find anything in Control panel which helps, please can I have some advice.

If so, left click it and select More Power Options. It's fairly intuitive from there, like "Change when the computer sleeps".

Alternatively get there through Control Panel,Change Battery Settings under Mobile PC.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks, most helpful, I have changed display settings and understand how to have more options now.
