Shutdown problems

Have looked through the database but can't find this one! My PC has suddenly started doing two things:-
1. freezing when I try to print an item off the Internet
2. when I shutdown (start - shutdown - select shutdown - OK), it keeps rebooting!

Have seen some suggestions for 'hung shutdowns' but that isn't what I'm getting. Any ideas please?

Using W98. Have tried Roxio GoBack and Norton Systemworks 2003 - neither has helped - good aren't they!!

If you have tried the advice here then I would suggest a complete reformat. It is very simple to do and all the advice and tips will be here if you require them.
