Can anyone help. Am running windows 7. The last couple of days my computer just shuts down for no reason at all.i get black screens or white screens, and I can't start it again with out switching it off at the wall. Have done an online scan of hard drive,it passed all tests. Can it be a computer fault or windows fault. P.s. I don't have disc to do a full re-install

You can download the Official MS .iso for Windows 7 and use your own product key from the coa sticker on base of laptop. You need a program to burn an .iso image to a DVD like the free ImageBurn (an .iso is a compressed image file of a DVD so needs to be uncompressed to release all the files to be burnt to DVD)

Download your version from the links to DigitalRiver from click here scroll down page to the English(US) versions.

You can then use the bootable W7 DVD for repair or reinstall.

Search type

sfc/ scannow

press ok

let windows scan fo and replace missing or corrupt windows files

note this will take sometime to complete with out any notification when done.

see if that improves things.
