Showing a UK IP address

  Wanderfly 12:48 03 Dec 2008

Hi all,

I'm a long haul pilot and when trying to sleep on the other side of the world it'd be nice to be able to catch up with last weeks programmes on the BBC iplayer.
Unfortunately the iplayer reads your ip address so if I'm in a hotel in say LA (as I am now) it blocks me, only allowing UK ip addresses, as we're the licence fee payers.
Is there any way of not just hiding my ip address but showing a UK one?

go onto youtube and you'll see some tutorials on how it can be done.

Thanks for that. I can't find one that shows a UK ip address, just demos to hide it.
Can you give a link to one?

Thanks for that, I've thought about a Slingbox before.......just not sure the Missus will like me changing channels half way through her programmes!! :-)
