show laptop screen on television what cables?

Hi,

I want to have the ability to watch films etc of my laptop with out the need of burning the files to dvd all the time etc also presentations to the family. Anyway My laptop has s video or something and i was just wondering can anyone please tell me what cables I need and are they cheap to get off ebay

help would be fantastic

It depends on your Laptop output from the Video Card. does it have s-video output? If it does you can get a cable and a scart adapter that s-video plugs into. you also need a Analog sound cable, as sound does not go down the s-video cable

Depending on where you buy them as little as £3. I bought mine for £2.99 from a local electrical store. Go to PC World however and it'll likely cost you £20.
