I am using Vista Home Premium and, previously under XP, I had a shortcut to the Character Map on my desktop. How can I do this under Vista?
1. Open the Start Menu.2. Click on Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then right-click on Character Map. Select Create Shortcut to Desktop and OK
A good place to put the Character Map is on the quick launch panel. It'll always be on view, and so you can just click to call it up when you've got an application covering the whole screen. To do so - when you've got the shortcut on the desktop, just drag it down onto the Quick Launch Panel.
Thanks guys. Exactly what I needed. Mission accomplished.
