Hi im moving into a Flat for 6 months and wondered if there is a broadband company who do like a short term contract or pay as you go monthly or even like an alternative using the 3G network just wondered if anyone new of any companies?

and also if there were no other options then to take out a 12month contract what would be the charge to cancel or even move it? just wondered if anyone has been here or knows of any answers as PCA seems to alway have the Correct answer

could be worth a look - click here. I'm with Zen and can't fault them. These 2 are slightly cheaper and also get good reviews.

Just be wary, the details of short contract providers may not be totally accurate, e.g. although Be has no contractual period, they do require 3 months notice to cancel or you have to pay an express cancellation charge.

Plusnet seems to have hidden terms too "Stay for 12 months and you never pay a penny for your setup. Leave within 12 months and you must pay the standard cost for any items that you chose to take for free."

Most of the top 10 on the site linked to by marvin42 are 1 month contract providers and worth a look.

You will probably find that you can't avoid paying the activation charge whjoever you go with, this can be around £40.

Connection will be £40+VAT = £47. Falconnet have a "rolling monthly contract" click here

I think Zen is a good option. One month contract , rolling. Worth a phone call to them to check "small print".
