'Shockwave Flash may be busy'

On my laptop, on certain websites (Windows, Firefox) I regularly get a message coming up saying 'Shockwave Flash may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the plug-in now, or you can continue to see if the plug-in can complete'.

What's this about, and what should I do to sort the problem out?

Thanks a lot, Laurence

Try reinstalling Shockwave from scratch after uninstalling it.

Update Firefox and shockwave, install any updates to windows.

If the message still appears use Comodo ice dragon in-case it is another add-on interferes with shockwave\flash
