sharing program files

i,m new to networking.my problem is i am unable to share programe files,i have set up the c drive to be shared and it is recognised in the other pc,but when i try to allow programe files to be shared it is greyed out so i can,t do anything with it.any advice please.

main pc xp home other media centre edition.

You cannot run a program installed in one computer from a second computer. For example, you can "share" Microsoft Word documents so that they can be opened in any PC on the network, but the program itself, Microsoft Word, must be individually installed in each PC.

What you can do is to run another PC on the network by "remote control" using an application such as RealVNC - click here - but that is still running the REMOTE program in the REMOTE PC.
