Sharing Microsoft Outlook on a LAN.

  maa970f 12:24 02 Oct 2007

We have recently connected two computers in our office via our broadband router.
We want to share the Microsoft Outlook folders (Contacts, Tasks, Calender etc) with the slave. While we have been able to export to a shared file and access current data, can we set up so that any modification to a section on one PC will automatically be written to the other. We have tried the 'share' function with no success, particularly as it seems to want to send this via e-mail?
Microsoft's Web help is rather confusing.
Any guidance will be much appreciated.

Several third-party options to allow this. Whivh version of Outlook?

Do you have separate email addresses on the two PCs? If so this makes using the Share function easier as you have already seen.

Hello Freecell,

By suggesting a third party option, does that Microsoft have not made it easy to do what we want?

No, there are not separate E-mail addresses, but obviously there could be if this would solve the problem. The version is Outlook 2000 premium.

Thanks for the response.
