I recently set up a local user account on my pc running XP home, for my daughter to use until she gets her new laptop, she logs into the account ok but when she tries to connect to the internet using my virgin media account, she is refused access, I was under the impression that a second user on the same pc could access the local connection and be able to have their own bookmarks, history, or whatever, am I mistaken on this or does my connection need to be reset to accommodate a second user??

You need to run the Internet connection wizard when logged in as your daughter. Make sure you have your account details (username and password) and fill in the boxes.

Whilst in your log in, have a look in C:Documents and Settings/Your name/Start Menu/Programs/Startup.

You should find a shortcut to your BB modem in there.

Move the shortcut to C:Documents and Settings/All Users/Start Menu/Programs/Startup.
