Shared Laptop Memory

I am intending to buy an entry level laptop which has 1GB of RAM but the graphics use shared memory of up to 128MB. The main use for the laptop will be word processing. I will also be using Dreamweaver, version 4 or MX, to create websites, more to practice for my own education than to offer a commercial service. I also hope to practice using Photoshop, probably version CS or CS2, to tie in with my website work.
On occassion I may view and burn DVDs and possibly try light gaming. The graphics are, according to the label, PCI Express.
Will the specification be OK for all this?

AMD Sempron 3000+ Processor

1600 MT/s HyperTransport

128 KB Cache

1024 MB RAM

60 GB Hard Drive

DVD ReWriter MultiDrive

15.4" Widescreen Display

Microsoft Windows XP Media Center

128 MB ATI X200 Shared Graphics

yes that should be fine but it would have to be light gaming.

I do most of what you do and more with the same spec but with just 512Mb of memory.

The machine takes it quite well.

Is it a HP?

Go to crucial.com and download their memory and diagnostic software It's free.

No it's a PC World own label, an Advent 7105.
