is there a cable that can be used to connect two towers to one monitor (use one tower at a time)

Always best to use the 'Add a new response' facility, rather than Email (the yellow envelope). This reveals your Email address.

You would be better with a KVM Switch,this allows you to control two towers with one Keyboard,Video and Mouse. This gives you more desktop room and you change between towers at the flick of the switch.

Lots on the market Belkin do a reasonable cheap one for two towers. just try dabs and search for KVM Switch.
