SFC Scannow

One of my flock machoine is getting a bit shall we say 'confused'
It seemed that applying SFC /scannow may sort out some deficiencies.
The Insert original disk' request came up
and then 'This is not the correct disk'
In other attempts to over install the system-
'This system is newer that the disk' has come up.
Presumably in each case layers of MS updates have changed the system away from the original.

Hos does one get over this hurdle?

Which version of Windows?
The sfc/scannow command goes as far back as Windows98.

This turned up 100 posts but none with the what I take you meant by 5th May 2008 @07.34.
Though many others that my be relevant and I have copied to file

Would you care to copy the link across please.
