Setting up a shortcut

I have set up a shortcut on my desktop to open a website that I use frequently.

Because I am using Firefox, the site doesn't open up the way the designer designed it in Explorer.

Is there something 'extra' that I can add to my shortcut link to make it open in Explorer, rather than the default Firefox.

My link on the shortcut looks like...

Try this as the shortcut

iexplore.exe /www site_to_access.com/log in page/login.jsp

Get IE Tab click here. Put your link in FF's Bookmarks. Now, you'll be able to open your link in an IE tab within Firefox (FF).

Also, Session Saver click here, is helpful in saving your opened websites when you close FF. When you open FF the next time those 'saved' websites will be displayed again without having to click on any links (some tweaking required to get it to work like you need it to). G

That will work from start, run but not as a desktop shortcut - sorry...

"c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" click here

Make this the new desktop shortcut.

"D:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" www site_to_access.com/log in page/login.jsp is what I meant

Actually what Crossbow7 says is easier...

  Diodorus Siculus 19:01 03 Oct 2006

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" www site_to_access.com/log in page/login.jsp

is what I really meant; my winXP is on d drive. IF yours is on C, then you need C.

I think I'll stop confusing the issue now!

I pop round to the post box (and to have a quick cough and a drag) and mega answers flood in!

But...

When I tried to 'modify' the existing short cut properties, it insisted on adding http:// to the front!

However...

When I created a brand nes desktop shortcut, it worked!

Hmmm... Interesting!

All working now, though. Thanks for the help guys.
