setting up a lap top to bt broadband

hi i bought my daughter a laptop fot christmas and i want to set it up to my bt broadband please help me...........

You need to inset the set up CD and follow the instructions.

Or if you mean that you have a wireless connection to your own PC and want your daughter's laptop to connect wirelessly to the internet via your connection, then switch on the WiFi button on her laptop. It should pick up your wireless signal, if your network is secured (recommended) she will be asked to enter your security key, when she does that, she can click the Connect button and connect to your internet connection wirelessly.

we dont live together my mum is on virgin and i am on bt. my mums internet is connect though a wire from her virgin box up to her comupter. i have bt home hub and want to connect my daughters lap top to it.

Your daughters laptop should connect wirelessly to the BT HomeHub. Assuming that the laptop is WiFi enabled, if it is new or fairly near it probably is.
