Setting up a home network

Hi. I'm wanting to network two computers, one which has a 10/100 Ethernet card and the other one which does not. If I just get a card for the other pc and link em up, will I have to do anyything else to set the network up (I'm using Windows XP)?

get another card. In windows insert the XP cd. When it autoruns click on "perform additional tasks" and then click set up a home or office network. Follow the prompts and when it finishes click on use the xp cd on another computer. Do the same on the second PC but when it finishes just click on "finish wizard".
