Setting the bios for XP2600+333MHZ CPU

Hi can you help?

I have just built a new PC based on an MSI-KT4VL M/B and AMD Athlon XP2600+333MHZ FSB Thoroughbred CPU. It runs OK, but I cannot get the bios to recognise the XP2600. On boot up it registers it as a 1250mhz. I bought the kit from Ebuyer and the reviews on the M/B state that you have to set the bios manually for it to recognise the XP2600. Can someone please advise how best to achieve this....

Cheers

Steve

You'll have to up the FSB to 166, it's on 100 at the minute, pugs. My motherboard does that by means of jumpers on the m/b itself, it should tell you in your manual how to do it in your BIOS.

You're a star, set the FSB to 166, now the PC recognises the XP2600..

Cheers
