setting up approved senders in Outlook Express

  EmptyJay 21:03 11 Jul 2007

Is there a way to set up an approved senders list in OE, and have everything else deleted from the server? Thanks

The answer, as always with Microsoft programs and applications, is readily found in the Outlook Express Help files.

what is it under in the Outlook Express Help files index?

Blocking messages is one example.

Also click on Messages at the top of the OE main page for configuring Message Rules as required.

Looks like we are out of luck in OE all you can do is block senders and use the 'create rule from message' options

Is there any way/any addon to set up an approved senders list in OE like you can on Hotmail, if you set the Junk filter to Exclusive?

Hotmail ""Junk E-Mail Filter
Choose your Junk E-Mail Filter level:
Low - obvious junk e-mail is caught.
Enhanced - most junk e-mail is caught.
Exclusive - you will only receive e-mail from addresses appearing in your Contacts, service announcements from Hotmail, and messages you have consented to receive from MSN""
