Set up problems with Network

  carper 18:38 10 Sep 2007

I have been making alterations to my settings by trying to connect a second laptop wirelessly. I am quite happy to uninstall my modem router (Zyxel 660) and wireless adapter. My query is how do I clear any settings which are already in my PC passwords etc.Any help appreciated. I have already posted this query in the network forum in the hope of a quick reply. Thanks in advance. Regards Carper.

You dont need to clear any settings.
Make sure the wireless card is switched on in laptop.
Right Click the wireless icon, view available networks, connect to your network.
Enter your WEP/WPA key and thats it

Thanks for your reply postie 24 but I feel that my problems in the set up would be better resolved by doing a clean restart. I see your point but my problem is deeper than just adding the other lap top.Regards Carper

What problems have you got in the set up?

Amongst other things I have lost automatic dial up and I now have no connection at all to my original lap top and my passwords and identity keys seem to be all mixed up.
